Opportunity summary

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) places human capital development at the heart of its activities, complementing its financing of development projects. Since its establishment, the Bank has launched several scholarship programmes to support the qualified human resources needed for social and economic progress.

The first programme, the Scholarship Program for Muslim Communities (SPMC), was established in 1983 for undergraduate studies. In 1992, the Merit Scholarship Programme (MSP) was created for doctoral and post‑doctoral research, followed in 1998 by the Master of Science Scholarship Programme (M.Sc.) aimed at preparing candidates for the MSP, particularly in the least‑developed countries.

Within its reoriented 2023‑2025 Strategy, the IsDB dedicates an entire pillar to inclusive human capital development, aiming to strengthen the capacities of member countries and Muslim communities in non‑member countries through these educational initiatives.

For the academic year 2024‑2025, the application period is now closed. Successful candidates will be contacted by email and the list of beneficiaries will be published shortly.
