The TWAS-SISSA-Lincei Research Cooperation Visits Programme offers a unique opportunity for young researchers to carry out joint projects in advanced laboratories in Italy, particularly in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region.

How to apply, step by step
- Consult the laboratories. Review the websites of eligible host institutions to identify a supervisor and a matching research field.
- Contact a supervisor. Get in touch with the potential supervisor to present your profile and discuss a research plan for your visit.
- Obtain the invitation. Agree on the visit terms and secure a formal acceptance letter signed by the host laboratory.
- Apply online. Fill out the official application form on the TWAS portal before the deadline of October 31, 2026.
