The Türkiye Bursları scholarship (scholarships of the Republic of Türkiye) is one of the most complete in the world: tuition fees, dormitory housing, a monthly stipend, health insurance, a return flight ticket and a year of Turkish language are all covered.
Who can apply
Open to all nationalities, from undergraduate to doctoral level. Academic criteria vary by level (generally a minimum of 70% in the baccalaureate for undergraduate studies, higher for graduate cycles). Moroccans are eligible at all levels.
Calendar and procedure
The main campaign traditionally opens at the beginning of the year on the official portal turkiyeburslari.gov.tr. The file is entirely online: diplomas, transcripts, motivation letter, recommendation letters. Shortlisted candidates take part in an interview.
Points to watch
- Apply only through the official portal: no paid intermediary is authorised
- Prepare certified translations of your diplomas in advance
- The Turkish language year is compulsory for programmes taught in Turkish
